SISTERON STARTING TOWN OF THE 2026 WOMEN'S TOUR DE FRANCE

The grand start of the Tour de France Femmes will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from Lausanne in Switzerland, and the race will feature 9 days of racing before the final finish in Nice on the Promenade des Anglais. The route totals nearly 19,000 meters of positive elevation, making it one of the most challenging editions in the history of the Tour de France Femmes.

The course will include flat stages, hilly stages, and mountain stages, providing a balance between speed and endurance for the different types of riders.

The start of the 8th and penultimate stage between Sisteron and Nice will take place in the late morning on Saturday, August 8, from the city center, following the previous day's stage from La-Voulte-sur-Rhône to the summit of Mont Ventoux.

The city of Paul Arène will therefore host the penultimate stage of the women's event on Saturday, August 8, heading to Nice, where the race's final finish will be judged the following day.
